Official reserve assets rise by 9.5%

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) says Sri Lanka’s official reserve assets increased by 9.5% in March 2024.

Accordingly, the official reserve assets reached USD 4.95 billion in March 2024.

This includes proceeds from the People’s Bank of China (POBC) SWAP, equivalent to USD 1.4 billion, which, according to the CBSL, is subject to conditionalities on usability.
