Export groups sign MoU

The High Commission of India in Colombo has been facilitating discussions among various Indian and Sri Lankan organizations to promote bilateral economic partnership and identify new areas of cooperation, notably to support the MSME sector.

One such discussion was facilitated between representatives of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) and the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) in June 2025.

On August 19, Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) and National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) signed a MoU to explore new opportunities for cooperation, including information sharing, connecting partners for investment & trade, etc.

The virtual signing ceremony was attended by the representatives of FIEO, led by Dr. Ajay Sahai, DG & CEO, FIEO, and the representatives of NCE, led by Mr. Indra Kaushal Rajapaksha, President, NCE.

Representatives from the High Commission of India in Colombo also attended the virtual signing ceremony.
