Mano Ganesan-led TPA votes in favor of Budget second reading

The opposition TPA, led by Mano Ganesan along with MPs Palani Thigambaram and V. Radhakrishnan, voted in favor of the Budget’s Second Reading a short while ago.

Ahead of the vote, Mano Ganesan emphasized that their support reflects confidence in the President’s commitment to deliver a daily wage of Rs. 1,750 for plantation workers.

He underscored that employees across all three state-run plantations, the 22 Regional Plantation Companies, and smallholder estates in 12 districts must uniformly receive the promised Rs. 1,750 per day.

Ganesan added that the party has no interest in dissecting the internal cost structures underlying the wage figure, as this is a clear operational responsibility of the government.
