CSE: SMB Finance, Nuwara Eliya Hotels Co make gains
Sri Lankan shares closed higher for a third consecutive session, led by energy and consumer-discretionary stocks.
The CSE All Share index settled up 0.50% at 22,068.84.
The index closed 0.36% lower for the week, falling for two straight weeks.
SMB Finance and Nuwara Eliya Hotels Co were the top percentage gainers on the CSE All Share index, rising 33.3% and 11.1%, respectively.
Trading volume on the CSE All Share index fell to 91.4 million shares from 147.2 million in the previous session.
Equity market turnover fell to 2.71 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($8.75 million) from 4.10 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
