Gains for Kerner Haus Global Solutions, York Plc
Sri Lankan shares closed lower on Monday, weighed down by losses in industrial and real estate stocks
The CSE All-Share index dropped 0.44% to 23,627.87. The index had ended flat on Friday.
Conglomerate Kerner Haus Global Solutions Plc and York Plc were the biggest percentage losers on the CSE All-Share index, falling 15.70% and 10.90%, respectively.
Trading volume rose to 214.3 million shares from 132.6 million in the previous session.
The equity market’s turnover declined to 4.69 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($15.1 million), compared with 4.72 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
Foreign investors were net sellers in the equity market, selling stocks worth 777.4 million rupees, data showed. Domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 4.61 billion rupees.
