CSE: Serendib Land and Lankem Developments shares fall

Sri Lankan shares closed lower amid losses in healthcare and energy stocks.

The CSE All Share index settled down 0.49% at 22,584.30.

Serendib Land PLC and Lankem Developments PLC were ‌the top ‌percentage ​losers ‌on ⁠the ​CSE All ⁠Share index, falling 5.06% and 4.95%, respectively.

Trading volume on the CSE All Share index rose to 97.9 ⁠million shares from 90.2 million ‌in ‌the previous session.

The ‌equity market’s turnover fell ‌to 2.15 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($6.7 million) from 4.81 billion rupees in the previous session, ‌according to exchange data.

Foreign investors were ⁠net ⁠sellers, offloading stocks worth 107.3 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 2.09 billion rupees, the data showed.
