SMB Finance and Paragon Ceylon: Top percentage gainers
Sri Lankan shares closed flat on Tuesday, as gains in real estate and materials offset losses in information technology stocks.
The CSE All-Share index settled at 23,015.32, up from 23,011.72 the previous day.
SMB Finance and Paragon Ceylon were the top percentage gainers on the CSE All-Share index, rising 33.33% and 12.65%, respectively.
Trading volume on the index fell to 158.6 million shares from 185.3 million in the previous session.
The equity market’s turnover fell to 3.67 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($11.4 million) from 4.93 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 552.4 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 3.48 billion rupees, the data showed.
