Ministry Secretaries in key talks

A meeting between the Secretary to the President , Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake and Ministry Secretaries was held at the Presidential Secretariat.

In parallel with the discussion, performance agreements were signed to evaluate the Ministry Secretaries’ performance. It was also decided that their performance would be assessed twice a year.

The meeting discussed the utilization of allocations provided under the capital budget for each ministry, the progress of ongoing projects, and measures to expedite projects scheduled for completion within this year.

Attention was also focused on issues faced by foreign investors. Discussions were held on providing the necessary facilities and support to investors promptly to ensure that planned projects in Sri Lanka can commence without delay.

The meeting further considered guidelines required for the digital transformation of ministries and government departments.

Secretary to the Prime Minister Pradeep Saputhanthri, Chief of Staff to the President Prabath Chandrakeerthi, Senior Presidential Advisor on the Digital Economy Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya, Senior Presidential Economic Adviser Duminda Hulangamuwa, Secretary to the Cabinet W.M.D.J Fernando, Senior Additional Secretary to the President Prasanna Chandith, and Secretaries of Ministries were among those who attended the event.
