Palm Garden ‌Hotels, Cargo ​Boat ‌Development: Top ⁠percentage gainers

Sri ‌Lankan shares closed flat on Monday, as gains in consumer discretionary ​stocks and communication services were offset by losses in consumer staples and materials companies.

The CSE All-Share index settled up 0.07 percent at 21,187.22.

Palm Garden ‌Hotels PLC ‌and Cargo ​Boat Development PLC were the top ⁠percentage gainers on the CSE All-Share index, advancing 13.5 percent and 11.5 percent, respectively.

Tess Agro PLC and Equity Two PLC were the ⁠top percentage losers, falling 7.1 percent ‌and 6.1 percent, ‌respectively.

Trading volume ​on the ‌index fell to 63.1 million ‌shares from 93.6 million shares in the previous session.

The equity market’s turnover fell to ‌2.07 billion rupees ($6.16 million) from 2.45 billion rupees ⁠in ⁠the previous session, according to exchange data.

Foreign investors were net buyers, purchasing stocks worth 75.9 million rupees, while domestic investors were net sellers, offloading shares worth 2.01 billion rupees, the data showed.
