Gains in ​healthcare and IT stocks

Sri ‌Lankan shares closed higher on Friday, led by gains in ​healthcare and IT stocks.

They rose 1.14% this week, snapping a five-week losing streak.

The CSE All Share index settled 0.47% higher ‌at 21,370.09.

SMB ‌Finance ​PLC ‌and Industrial ⁠Asphalts (Ceylon) ​PLC were the ⁠top percentage gainers on the CSE All Share index

Trading volume on the CSE All Share index fell ⁠to 122.3 million shares from ‌231.1 ‌million in the ​previous session.

The equity market’s ‌turnover fell to 1.89 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($5.6 million) from 12.24 billion rupees in ‌the previous session, according to exchange data.

Foreign ⁠investors ⁠were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 40.1 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 1.87 billion rupees, the data showed.
