Industrial Asphalts (Ceylon), an Office Equipment boost index

Sri Lankan shares closed higher for a third straight session on ​Friday, led by financial and industrial stocks, and extended their weekly winning run to four.

The CSE All-Share index rose 0.6% to 23,956.51. The index ‌posted gains ‌of nearly ‌1% ⁠for ​the ‌week.

Conglomerate Industrial Asphalts (Ceylon) Plc and Office Equipment Plc were the biggest boosts to the index, rising 25% each.

Trading volume rose to ⁠258.9 million shares from 187.1 million ‌in the previous ‍session.

The equity market’s turnover rose to 10.5 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($33.90 million), up from 8.32 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.

Foreign investors were ⁠net sellers of shares worth 186.8 million rupees in the equity market, while domestic investors were net buyers of shares worth 10.4 billion rupees, data showed.
