Tess Agro, York Arcade: top percentage losers
Sri Lankan shares closed lower, due to losses in information technology, communication services and energy stocks.
The CSE All Share index settled down 0.4% at 22,920.32.
Tess Agro PLC and York Arcade Holdings PLC were the top percentage losers on the CSE All Share index, falling 4.55% and 4%, respectively.
Trading volume on the CSE All Share index fell to 142.4 million shares from 158.6 million in the previous session, according to exchange data.
The equity market’s turnover fell to 2.82 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($8.7 million) from 3.67 billion rupees in the previous session.
Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 246.1 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 2.61 billion rupees, the data showed.
