Paragon Ceylon and Autodrome: Top percentage losers
Sri Lankan shares closed lower for the third straight session on Tuesday, dragged by losses in utilities and energy stocks.
The CSE All-Share index settled down 0.29% at 21,145.73
Paragon Ceylon PLC and Autodrome PLC were the top percentage losers on the CSE All-Share index, falling 13.2% and 9.4%, respectively.
Trading volume on the index fell to 38.5 million shares from 66.5 million shares in the previous session.
The equity market’s turnover rose to 3.28 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($9.8 million) from 2.64 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
Foreign investors were net buyers, purchasing stocks worth 142.5 million rupees, while domestic investors were net sellers, offloading shares worth 3.21 billion rupees, the data showed.
