TNA Parliamentary Group to make key appointments at next meeting

Sri Lanka’s Tamil National Alliance (TNA) has denied media reports about changes to its key positions such as party spokesman.

The denial via TNA’s official Twitter handle @TNAmediaoffice came after Colombo’s The Island daily claimed that the alliance’s leadership had given two positions in it to Tamil Eelam Liberation Organization (TELO) and People’s Liberation Organization of Tamil Eelam (PLOTE) stalwarts.

“This story is not true. #TNA Parliamentary Group will make appointments to the posts of Parliamentary Group leader, Spokesman and Whip when it meets next. No changes were made to any post thus far,” @TNAmediaoffice Tweeted.

The TNA is the single largest Sri Lankan Tamil party in Parliament.
